Game- Name

Game Created: Squigy

  • Two teams, one sitting blindfolded on circle of chairs and the other team standing behind
  • Bowler (who is independent) stands in centre of circle.
  • Each chair is given a number.
  • The bowler shouts out a number then throws the ball to that chair
  • Person seated tries to block ball (1 point) or catches it (2 points)
  • Person behind attempts to catch the ball (1 point).
  • There are two halves to the game the first half ends when either team reaches 10 points, they then exchange places.
  • There is a no ball if it is bowled to high or off target neither team is penalized for this.

Chocolate Game

  1. Everyone’s name goes into a hat, the ref chooses one name.
  2. That person is blindfolded.
  3. A second name is drawn by the ref.
  4. That person says ‘I Like Chocolate,’ attempting to disguise their voice.
  5. Person 1 has three guesses as to who said it.
  6. If the name is guessed correctly the points are as follows:
  7. 1st Guess- 5 points   2nd- 3 points    3rd- 1 point
  8. If the name is not guessed the disguiser gets 3 points.
  9. There were going to be two teams but that was not worked out on the day.

Game - Whispers

  • Communicated by whispering/speech
  • Listen to person behind you
  • Resist temptation (someone can affect everyone
  • Remember accurately what’s been said.
  • Create something simple
  • Stay calm even if you are losing
  • Be patient

Game- 1to2 etc

  • Have confidence or it stops you from thinking
  • Be ready
  • Concentrate on yourself and what you’re doing
  • Listen it puts you in a better position
  • Concentrate it makes you feel good

Game- Signs

  • Help others
  • Rehearse
  • Patience and effort
  • Commitment

Game - BOOFBALL

  • Two teams
  • Created by human bodies, a volleyball net, two basketball nets and two goal posts
  • One blindfolded individual from each team and one guide giving vocal instructions on either side of court.
  • Judge places a ball on one half of court and the guide has to lead his partner to ball
  • When ball has been take the other team can tackle by patting tummy of the opposition and thereby creating a penalty.
  • Penalty is either to act or sing and this is decided by a panel of judges.
  • The idea is to shoot the ball over net into hoop or goal to score points.

 


Class 7N

Name Game

  • Speak loudly
  • Be ready
  • Practice the names
  • Listen carefully
  • Use tactics (don’t look at the person you are calling)

Signals

  • Look carefully
  • Make the movements clear
  • Have fun
  • Be supportive

  • Try even at things you don’t like
  • Concentrate
  • Speak clearly

A and B

  • Be prepared
  • Communicate well.

Game 1

  • Four teams stand on each side of a square wearing different colours
  • When the game starts, by the ref throwing the sponge ball, all four teams move into the centre of the square.
  • The aim of the game is to hit your opponents on the leg, if you do, you win 2 points for your team
  • The team who can successfully move all of their players to the opposite side of the square gets 10 points.

Game 2 - Animals 3-29 players

  • 1 person sits in the middle
  • This person is questioned about the animal they are thinking of
  • The rest of the players have to guess the animal
  • The middle person can only say yes or no.

 


Class 7O

Name Game

  • Everyone must pay attention
  • Have fun
  • Find a moment of weakness and use your initiative
  • Be independent, think.
  • Have a sense of humour
  • Only talk and laugh when appropriate or it ruins the game
  • People on the outside focus on the people in the centre

Signals

  • Everyone has to be able to see
  • All must get involved
  • Take initiative remember the movement
  • Disguise your signal
  • Don’t prompt let others be responsible for themselves
  • Have patience
  • Pay attention, control what you do
  • Focus on the signaler

  • Talk to a teacher, mentor, parent or police officer.

  • Concentration- follow the game

  • Don’t judge someone by the way they look
  • If you can’t say anything positive don’t say anything at all
  • Don’t be racist
  • Tell the teacher- challenge those with dangerous views

  • Cultural Diversity Committee- use them to overcome problems

 


Class 7U

  • No cheating, it causes confusion
  • Speak clearly and loudly
  • Use tactics to catch people out
  • Pay attention, use your eyes, listen, speak on cue
  • Be fair, don’t just choose a friend be inclusive

  • Retain your concentration
